Emergency Prepardness Consultancy Services
Emergency preparedness consultancy is similar to H&S consultancy, but it needs specialist consultants that can help you prepare for catastrophic/events such as flood disaster, pandemic infection outbreak, terrorism, chemical, nuclear and biological disasters. Consultants experienced and qualified to do this work are scarce resources.

Emergency Preparedness Consultancy is an integral part of delivering professional and successful H&S plans/strategies.
We know that emergency preparedness is of paramount importance and that you may have legal, regulatory and moral criteria to satisfy. So we have put together a structured process to support getting it right first time.
This process is fully auditable and has strict quality controls. The diagram below shows the 8 key stages used and 3 additional services that we feel could be beneficial to your organisation. In brief, you can choose to have:
- Any combination of the stages - as each stage has strict entry and exit criteria, this enables us to assure you of a quality delivery;
- You can smart-source the whole lot to us - we will deliver and manage your health and safety policy/issues for you;
- Consultative support - we can have a consultant hand hold you through the stages you select.
A brief description of each stage
1a. Register - Complete the online form which tells us a little about your organisation and what you would like to achieve.
1b. Pre-sales consultation - We get together and discuss what we do and how we do it and weather you would like to engage us to deliver a service. The first hour is free after which a fee is payable. *This fee is non-refundable unless the agreed contract is implemented and completed.
1c. Agree Contract - We clarify the terms of our agreement and attain your authorisation to proceed. We will also have attained an understanding of your business and its H&S related requirements at this point.
All services up to this point are free those beyond this point are chargeable*.
2. Site Inspection and Report – This is where we go out to your (in scope) site/s and review all requested health and safety aspects. The result is a report detailing all areas which present a health & safety risk.
3. Implementation of risk reduction plan – This stage involves the prioritisation of risks and plans for mitigation or reduction. The deliverable from this stage is a prioritised list of risks with a plan for their reduction/mitigation. Within this process we can programme/project manage the delivery of the all or parts of the implementation plan for the reduction of risk.
4. Training needs analysis – In this module we can evaluate the training needs of all or part of you staff and external contractors/workers.
5. Training Schedule – This stage involves the delivery of training to your staff/colleagues/workers. We can:
- carry out a training needs analysis and deliver the training in accordance;
- or fulfil any requirements that you have as a result of a previous risk assessment;
- or simply provide any one off or ongoing training requirements that you may have.
6. Event Simulation – Plans cannot be assured until they are tested. So we will collaborate with you in putting together drill schedules to test the procedures that you have in place.
7. Evaluate – Once you have the process and have tested it you will need to evaluate if the results mean that the processes need to be modified. These changes may need to be tested.
8. Ongoing support – As time goes by your business will expand, contract, change its service offerings and/or the operational procedures used to deliver your product/services. We can help you to identify the impact of change to your health and safety strategy/approach.
Other beneficial services
9. The full process – We can simply manage all aspects of the programme for you or be your onsite/off-site/virtual health and safety team. The benefit of having us deliver the whole process is/are:
- You can demon straight that you are taking H&S seriously.
- Consultancy time around entry and exit criteria is reduced as it is a natural part of our process.
- The end to end process and documentation will be auditable and transparent.
- For the duration of the contract, you will have your own health and safety team.
10. Your own emergency preparedness consultant – will simply give one or more of our qualified and experiences resources and allow them to work independently with you in the way you wish.
11. External Auditors - Have an external audit carried out to independently corroborate your findings. Once again our experienced and qualified consultants can help.
